[Optimism Foundation disclosed an incident to cause 20M $OP token stolen ] Optimism has revealed an incident of lost fund in an open letter to the community. The lost fund was deployed to Wintermute, a leading professional maket maker in the industry, to provide liquidity for the $OP tokens. After confirming the funds are well received by Wintermute, they later discovered that they could not acess the token because their layer 1 address has not yet deployed on Optimism. Meanwhile an attacker had exploited the address and sold 1M $ OP token. After a back and forth communication made with the attacker, he agreed to return $17M OP token and the rest will be reimbursed by Wintermute.
