[GameFi project Metaisland joins Neo Global Development EcoBoost program] Neo Global Development has accepted Metaisland into the EcoBoost program. The multiplayer metaverse GameFi project is “the fourth project to join the EcoBoost program in 2022.” Through EcoBoost, Neo will provide support and incubation opportunities to help the project enter the market. In 2021, NGD focused on building partnerships through the Neo Early Adoption program.
[Polemos DAO released video to announce its GameFi platform: The Forge] The GameFi platform, Polemos, with a $100 million valuation, released its introduction video to the Polemos Forge, a new protocol for blockchain gaming enthusiasts worldwide. The Polemos Forge will be the central digital platform where web3 gamers learn about blockchain game strategies in Polemos University. Stakers can participate in governance and yield distribution.
[GameFi project Jot Art raised $55 million round] KaJ Labs announced that it would award $35 million in grants to the Jot Art (JOT) Metaverse Project. The Jot Art team, led by project supervisor, Raj Kumar, have raised an additional $20 million from Psalms Capital, and ACP. Jot Art is Lithosphere’s metaverse and the infusion will aid in launching the cross-chain metaverse for the Jot Art play-to-earn (P2E) “Finesse” game.
[Blockchain gaming platform Xterio raised $40 million led by partner FunPlus] Blockchain gaming platform Xterio raised $40 million in a funding round led by game developer and Xterio partner FunPlus, FTX Ventures and blockchain gaming platform XPLA. The funding will go toward game development. Xterio combines a play-to-earn gaming platform and a GameFi-as-a-service product for developers in the partner network.
[Meta buys Lofelt for better VR and AR haptics] Lofelt was founded in 2014 and has since released several products. The first and the best known is a wristband called Basslet, which was advertised as a “wearable subwoofer” that delivered haptic effects to match some music. The startup received $5.4 million in Series A funding in 2017. It is estimated that Lofelt raised a total of 10 million euros in funding during its existence and employed 25 people.
[Swiss crypto bank Sygnum to open metaverse hub in Decentraland] Swiss crypto bank, Sygnum, announced that it is opening a metaverse hub in Decentraland. With roots in Switzerland and Singapore, Sygnum has been an active, crypto-native member of the Web3 community since its inception, with projects including tokenising a blue-chip NFT and regulated Ethereum staking on blockchains as well as trading and asset management products.
[PlayMining to begin development of new Web3 user-producer IP co-creation project ‘SOUL Fusers’] Singapore-based global GameFi company Digital Entertainment Asset, known for its leading GameFi platform PlayMining announced the development of “SOUL Fusers”, a Web3 user-producer IP co-creation project with the aim of creating new IP in collaboration with user communities.
[Meta’s dragging Qualcomm into its metaverse] Meta and Qualcomm announced they’re partnering up to design custom chipsets for Meta’s virtual reality headsets. The multi-year agreement between the two companies will see Meta’s Quest headsets powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon tech. The Quest 2 headset currently uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2 chipset, and the two have worked together for years.

[dydx is giving $25 deposit bonus to New users who deposit over $500 USDC] For eligibility to claim the promotion, each user is required to complete a liveness check to avoid Sybil-attack. According to dydx, all biometrics collected will be stored on an external server and compliant with GDPR. However, the promotion ended in 3 days and official claim is due to overwhelming demand.
[Sudoswap outlined token distribution] The NFT AMM protocol, Sudoswap has a 60M initial supply, of which 43.4% are given to $XMON holders and 0xmon NFT holders; initial team member and Sudo Random Labs each will allocate 15% vested over 3 years with 1-year cliff; 25.1% will be retained in Treasury for governance.
