[Ankr aBNBc Exploit] BnB chain node operator Ankr suffered a governance key compromise. The attacker d deployed a malicious contract to mint a very large amount of aBNBc, Ankr’s reward-bearing staked BNB token, and profited ~$7m by dumping what he minted.

[LINK Staking Update] Chainlink is launching staking v0.1 on Dec. 6th. Stakers will be locking their funds til the planned launch of v0.2 (in 9–12 months) when the funds can be unlocked or migrated.

DraftKings and Bitkraft Ventures co-led the seed round for the firm, which was founded by game industry veterans.

[Glip secures $2.5M funding for its web3 game discovery platform] Glip, a wallet app and Web3 game discovery platform located in Bengaluru has raised $2.5 million in a fundraising round co-led by Hashed Emergent and included BEENEXT and current investor Prime Venture Partners. Glip will use the money to grow its workforce, integrate new features into its products, and build a larger community worldwide.

[South Korea’s Shinhan Bank starts ‘metaverse’ services] Shinhan Bank, one of South Korea’s top four lenders by net profit, has opened a “metaverse” site to provide what it called financial and non-financial services, claiming to be the first bank in the country to provide such a platform. The “Shinamon” metaverse platform will comprise zones for finance, healthcare, art, and sports.

[Game7 launches $100M grant program to accelerate Web3 gaming] Game7 has launched a $100 million grant program to accelerate developers who are making Web3 games. The entity is a decentralized autonomous organization, or DAO, supported by BitDAO and Forte ecosystems. The $100 million in grants will be deployed over the next five years at a rate of $20 million per year.

[Apple demand Coinbase Wallet go through in-app purchase system when paying for gas fee] Coinbase Wallet elaborates on issues when iOS users have difficulties transferring their NFT in-app due to Apple blocking their app release until they cut 30% of profit to Apple when user transacts gas fees. However, Apple’s in-app purchase system does not support on-chain transactions and thus needs updates if they insist on protecting its profit. Dan Finlay, the cofounder of Metamask, later twitted that “30% tax is an abuse of monopoly,” and he is ready to “dump the apple ecosystem”.

[Aleo activated incentivized Testnet 3] Aleo has set aside 25m Aleo credits for Testnet 3 incentives, where prover accounted for 30% of the total incentives. To date, there are 14,000 nodes that participated in Testnet 3, and 20m proofs were generated per second.

[Ankr contract has been exploited and caused a loss of $5M] Hacker exploited Ankr smart contract and minted a massive amount of aBNBc, and to date, the disposition of the stolen fund amounted to $5M. Ankr team responded that they would compensate all liquidity providers by purchasing $5M BNB and re-issue ankrBNB to all valid aBNBc holders.

[BitDAO launched an Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solustion] Mantle consists of decentralized data availability and roll up layer, it’s modular. The testnet is expected to launch in Q1, 2023.

[Telegram CEO revealed sells $50M worth of username on TON] Last month, telegram gave users the ability to purchase usernames, the ownership secured asset on TON, through Fragment. It has gained them a huge success with a revenue of $50M.
